Important Information

• Individual and family photos, Thursday 23rd October. Please note if you would like younger brothers or sisters included on the photo they will need to be at school by 9am.
• Africa Week
Next week we will be having an African theme week, an exciting end to our project about animals and a fun way to look at other countries and cultures. We have lots of activities planned and I have included a timetable so you can see day to day what we are doing. Any ideas you can add would also be much appreciated. We will be ending the week with a “colours of Africa” day - children can come in red, yellow or green and by making a donation of 50p (more if they like) they can help towards the charity we have chosen for the week - Seeds of Africa (more information to follow).

On Friday 24th October at 1.15pm we will be having a special assembly as a celebration of the work, led by the children. Parents and friends of our school are warmly invited to attend.

It’s going to be a very exciting week for everyone!

On a personal note, I am very pleased to formally be appointed Headteacher of both Bolton by Bowland and Grindleton schools. Many thanks for all your support since I have joined the school and I hope to work closely with children, teachers, governors and parents to take the school forward in the future.
